Hooke Park hosts educational programmes, as part of the Architectural Association School of Architecture, throughout the year. These consist of full-time residential post-graduate programmes in architecture, short courses run as part of the AA’s Visiting School, and a volunteer programme for engagement in building, landscaping, forestry and gardening.


Two-week summer course that carries out small-scale, community-engaged design/build projects. In 2017 and 2018 we will be working with the Kingcombe Wildlife Centre on the design and construction of a riverside board walk and outdoor classroom / events space.

MSc Design + Make

12-month full time study that share the taught components of the MArch Design & Make programme, leading to full-scale constructed research prototypes in timber.

MArch Design + Make

Design + Make explores fabrication and design at the intersection of craft knowledge, innovative technologies and natural materials. Through the realisation of full-scale prototypes and permanent buildings, students conceive and construct experimental architecture driven by the principle of design-through-making.
