We had the opportunity to line up with the leading institutions in digital design & fabrication last week to present our work at Hooke.  After an overarching talk from Jez Ralph about the work of Hooke Park in applying computational design to solid timber, graduates Yingzi Wang presented a case study of the Boilerhouse and Glen Stellmarch showed the Timber Seasoning Shelter.  As well as highlighting new approaches to scanning and the links between digital and traditional timber crafts we were able to hint at the possibilities of robotics and advanced scanning to solid timber architecture.
